Magdolna Sass is a senior research fellow at the Centre for Economic and Regional Studies, Hungarian Academy of Sciences and an external researcher at ICEG European Centre. She obtained her PhD from the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in 1998. Between 1997 and 2000, she worked for the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development in Paris. Her main research areas are foreign direct investments, foreign trade, internationalisation of firms and post-transition multinationals and related policies in the East-Central European countries, with special attention to developments in Hungary.
