Professor Bezuidenhout has several publications on FDI in Africa and the relations between firms moving into various markets on the continent. Industry and sector focus has led to a deeper understanding of FDI behaviour in African markets. Current research focusses are on South African Firms and their investments in Africa, especially in retail. He work has also lead to relevance of Cultural Differences in the success/failure and productivity of FDI projects. Based on this work he currently conducting a survey of management in South African multinationals on cross-cultural issues from a leadership and management perspective in partnership with INSEAD and the Cultural Intelligence Center.
Professor Bezuidenhout is also a formal Executive Business Coach and member of the International Coaching Federation (Associate Certified Coach and Gallup Strengths Coach). He also serves as a cultural intelligence and cross cultural specialist, as a holder of both the Cultural Intelligence Centre (CQ Certified Advanced) and the Cross Culture (Cross Cultural Competency Level II) certifications. Within these areas his coaching focus is on Foreign Direct Investments (FDIs), mergers and acquisitions, negotiation and transformational leadership.
